the amplifiersThe debut album from Nottingham based band The Amplifires is surprisingly satisfying. This album ticks all the right boxes; a driving tune in the form a Wired, songs you can get up and dance to like Windspun Day and Broken Pane, and songs you'll learn all the words to in the vein of To Be In Love and Watching The Walls.

Although they clearly have a talent for writing and making music, you can't help but think some of the songs have been cast from the same mould, the similarities are almost too noticeable.

I hope the band pushes the boat out a little bit further out on their next album. I think the best is yet to come.
