After two highly successful years Red Bull Manny Mania is back and will be coming to Manchester on Saturday 5th June. The competition, which has gone truly global this year, has been rolled out to 32 countries. Now all the best amateur manual tricksters on the planet will battle it out in an attempt to be crowned 2010 champ.
Red Bull Manny Mania has always been about connecting skaters and encouraging the highest level of technical trickery on two wheels. In 2010, Red Bull Manny Mania will expand around the globe to a world wide contest that will take amateur winners from countries as far ranging as South Africa, Oman, Japan and Chile… to name but a few!
Skaters in the 32 countries will battle it out in local competitions to earn their spot at their National Final in their home country. The winners of these national finals will be sent to the United States on an all expenses paid trip, to represent their country at the Red Bull Manny Mania World Final for amateurs in New York City on August 21, 2010. The one amateur skater who defeats every other in the global field will get their chance to step into the big leagues – a spot in the invite-only Red Bull Manny Mania Pro Event, on Sunday, August 22.

Only thirteen days to go until the crowning of the 2010 Bar Awards champion, along with winners in 15 other categories as more than 100 bars, pubs and clubs have been nominated for awards.
This year’s increase in bars taking part and the response and enthusiasm from the public is excellent. Just go…From Creamfields in Buenos Aires to Bestival on the Isle of Wight, these are just a couple of the 30 global festivals the lucky candidate will visit over a 30-week period as part of their full time role. Not all beer swilling and crowd surfing however, responsibilities will also include looking after weekly Perpetual Festival competition winners as part of an inspired sales promotion for Long Lasting Trident Gum which will be giving away global festival tickets plus other festival inspired instant win prizes.
As well as keeping a beady eye on the new weekly winners that join the Perpetual Festival, the candidate will also be expected to keep us poor souls back home updated on daily adventures. From tweets to blogs, photos and videos to celebrity interviews, they must bring to life their once in a lifetime musical expedition. And - for this prestigious role, the right candidate can expect to receive a cool £30,000 plus expenses.
