jon2Reverend and the Makers' front man Jon McClure, joins a panel of other industry experts, to kick start a new programme to help unsigned bands at Sheffield's 02 Academy in April. The free workshop will offer unsigned bands and people interested in a career in music the chance to get real advice, feedback and guidance about how to make it happen in the music industry.

Each O2 Undiscovered workshop brings together a panel of industry experts including Jon McClure (lead singer, Reverend and the Makers), Chris O'Donnell (Manager/Agent/Promoter - Thin Lizzy and Van Morrison) and Nick Godwyn (A&R, 19 Management). The workshop will run from 11am to 1pm. Each panel member will give talks, answer questions and provide advice to any musicians or individuals wanting a job in the music industry.

O2 Undiscovered 2009 starts 18th April with a workshop at the O2 Academy, Sheffield, before moving on to other cities around the UK throughout spring and summer this year.

In addition to the main workshops, there will be selected one-to-one sessions where attendees can bring along their music to be professionally critiqued by a leading A&R expert.

To participate in a workshop, please go to www.myspace.com/O2-undiscovered, or text SHEFFIELD WORKSHOP to 62002. Spaces are limited so be sure to register early.
