Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

News - Freeq News

red stripeNow in its third year, the Red Stripe Music Award has hosted over 150 bands at 27 of the UK's best loved live music venues since January and with one more gig to go at Hootananny in Brixton on 18th April - the wait is almost over for hundreds of hopefuls. Rhythm and blues masters, Gomez, will finish a 12 date UK tour on a high note, playing as part of the Red Stripe Music Award Final at London's Kentish Town Forum on Tuesday 5th May.

Following the release of their latest album, A New Tide (30th March), the celebrated band will play alongside four emerging artists, yet to be picked from the shortlist released so far (see below).

With slots at three of the summer's major festivals including The Great Escape guaranteed for the winner, The Red Stripe Music Award looks to offer talented musicians a platform to get themselves noticed by both the public and the industry.

Tickets to the Red Stripe Music Award Final on Tuesday 5th May are now available on a first come first serve basis via www.redstripe.net.

The final bill will be announced on Monday 20th April but here's who's made it so far:
