Sunday August 8th 2010 at The Big Chill Festival, will see the celebrated artist Spencer Tunick create one of his world famous nude landscapes, as part of The Big Chill’s renowned Arts Trail. The artist will use the festival’s unique architecture, as well as the stunning backdrop of Eastnor Castle Deer Park, to set the scene for his latest work inspired by the recent BP oil spill.

. All those that take part in this exciting and once in a lifetime opportunity will receive a special edition print of the photo as a lasting momento to their moment as a living work of art.
“We are calling THE BIG CHILL crowd to sign up to participate in my artwork at the festival. We will be painting people in solid colours with cosmetic make-up, there will be a crew of make-up people that will help you colour your body. There will also be shower stations, soap and towels to remove the make-up. We are encouraging you to be part of art and not just a viewer. The artwork will be far away from people who are not participating.
In the works, I will be referencing the recent BP oil spill in some of the set-ups using black paint. Not pointing the blame, but bringing attention to the connection between our massive need for oil and how its connection to the body and our existence is intertwined.
I will be also making abstractions with the many nude participants with 4 additional colours, as homage to Yves Kein, Mark Rothko & Ellsworth Kelly. I can't make my art without YOU. So I am hoping you will spend a short period of time with me to make some art. You will be painted, so you will be "dressed" in a way.
